

Mary Margaret Player went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at the age of 74 years old, after her two year long battle with cancer. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Thomas Player. Mary is lovingly remembered by her three children, son Shawn (Debbie) grandchildren Shay and Macey Earhart; daughter Nicole (Glenn) Green grandchildren Steven (Bailey) Pender, Garth Geisler, Morgan Marks, Meagan Marks, Joanna Sanders, and Thomas Green, great-grandchildren Brantley and Makynlee Pender; son Thomas Shane and grandson Gavin Earhart; and stepdaughter Tammy Earhart Reagan, grandchildren Chase (Sarah) 4 grandchildren, Haley (Joe) 3 grandchildren and Erica 1 grandchild.
Mary was born on January 10, 1948, in Teaneck, New Jersey, and was raised in West Milford, New Jersey. Graduating from Pope John XXIII Regional High School located in Sparta, New Jersey. She then attended Dover business college. Mary was blessed with a large and loving family consisting of four sisters and five brothers whom she was very proud of. Mary is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Kathleen Lynch of West Milford, New Jersey, and her sister Patricia (Roger) Strella surviving niece Christine Free. Mary is survived by her sister Kathleen (preceded Don) Holler, brother Frank (Sue) Lynch, sister Elizabeth (Jose) Jimenez, brother John (Irene) Lynch, brother Mark (Sue) Lynch, brother Mathew (Stacey) Lynch, brother Peter (Sharron) Lynch, and sister Anne (John) Tea.
Mary moved to Cape Coral, Florida in 1973 then relocated to North Fort Myers, FL in 1977 where she raised her three children. Mary was actively involved with the Lee County Sheriff Posse, North Fort Myers First Baptist Church, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, and School; she was employed by the Lee County Co-Op before retiring from Lee Carpet Cleaning in 2020.
Mary married her husband Thomas D. Player on January 16, 1995, and just celebrated their twenty-seventh anniversary. Mary and Tom were long-standing members of the Abate Motorcycle Organization where they enjoyed riding with their friends for many years. Mary and Tom built their retirement home in Blairsville, Georgia where they became full-time residents in March of 2021 with their beloved dog Mooney. Mary loved spending time with family, watching movies with her grandchildren, singing Christmas carols, deer watching from her back porch, antique stores, and always made sure her fridge was full of homemade sweet treats like her famous seven layer candy and mint chocolate chip ice cream.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on March 5, 2022, at Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery in Cape Coral, FL followed by a reception at the home of Nicole (Glenn) Green in Bokeelia, FL.
