Susie Anna Robertson

Susie Anna Robertson passed away Monday, March 30, 2026, at the age of 86. She was born to Velma and Jesse Padilla on June 2, 1939. She had three siblings, Virginia, Deborah, and Roy. Susie loved old cars and spent the summers working in the tobacco fields in Connecticut. She fell in love and married Keith “Jeep” Robertson, having four children: Beverly, Gail, Keith, and Sheryl. Susie was a dedicated caretaker to her husband, Jeep. Early in life, they enjoyed boating and fishing, and they were married for 46 years! When Susie became a widow, she was fortunate enough to meet another great love, Pete Laupp. Susie and Pete were married for 20 years! They enjoyed traveling in their motor home, yard-saling, and thrift shopping. Susie lived an amazing life, and she will be greatly missed by many.

Susie is survived by children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren: Beverly Peck-Daisy (Evan) Qualheim, Alexis Harper, Mason Slater, Kennedy Qualheim. Lacey (Chuck) Harper Poppell, Claudia Poppell, Logan Poppell, Karlyn Rose, Logan Poppell, Alex Poppell. Bo Harper, Carson Harper, Americus Harper. Gail Robertson-Leanna (Bill) Matthews, Austin Collier, Connor Matthews. James (Leah) Collier, Cammy Collier, Cooper Collier. Andrew (Alaina) Collier, Penelope Collier, Piper Collier. Stormy Phanco. Sunni (Aaron) Hobbs, Summer Rae Hobbs. Keith Robertson-Kyle Robertson, Travis Robertson. Julia Robertson. Sheryl Robertson-Zak (Megan) Robertson, Brooks Robertson, Ellie Carder, Kayden Carder. Ryan (Grace) Robertson; sisters: Virginia (Joey) Morton and Deborah (Tom) Hamilton.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Velma and Jesse Padilla; brother, Roy Padilla; first husband, Keith “Jeep” Robertson and second husband, Peter Laupp.

A gathering will be held at New Testament Baptist Church, 2805 NE Pine Island Rd, Cape Coral, FL 33909, on Friday, April 10th from 10:30 to 11am with service to follow. Burial will take place at Coral Ridge Cemetery, 950 Chiquita Blvd. S, Cape Coral, FL 33991 at 1pm.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Fishers of Men Lutheran Church, 10360 Stringfellow Rd. St., St. James City, FL 33956 following the graveside service.
