Born on August 27, 1937, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Troy was the son of the late Rurel and Dora (York) Lester. From his earliest days, he carried with him the values of hard work, loyalty, and devotion—qualities that shaped every chapter of his life.
Troy was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing on quiet mornings, hunting in the crisp autumn air, and settling in to watch a good movie. But above all, he cherished time spent with his family. Whether gathered around a dinner table, sharing stories, or simply enjoying each other’s company, Troy was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved most.
He was, in every sense, the epitome of a family man—steadfast, generous, and endlessly supportive. His presence brought comfort, his humor brought light, and his love brought strength to all who knew him.
Troy’s legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever remember his gentle spirit, his unwavering dedication, and the countless memories he helped create. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Arlene; two children, Troy Lester and Robin Zenesky; and one brother, Jerry Lester.
Troy is survived by his three loving children, Eddie Lester, Sherrie Jurczak and Sandra Lester; one brother, Denny Lester and his wife, Darlene; five grandchildren, Jeremiah, Stephen, Jacob, Tera and Josh; as well as five great grandchildren, Kaleb, Elliot, Sophia, Daniela and Mya.
A Graveside Service will be celebrated 12 NOON, Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Coral Ridge Cemetery, 950 Chiquita Boulevard S., Cape Coral, FL.
