Bill was survived by his wife Nicole Alexander (Toto), daughter Jennifer Wardrop (Doug) Grand daughters Jacqueline and Julianna Wardrop, Mother-in-law Diane Toto and his brother Richard Alexander. He was Predeceased by his parents Anna R Alexander (Hadad) , Richard M Alexander and his daughter Jamie Alexander.
Bill retired over 15 years ago after 35 years of service with Bock Construction as a Project Superintendent. He was a member of the Philadelphia Carpenter’s union.
He lived in Deptford NJ up until 2014 when he pursued his dream of moving to Cape Coral Florida with Nicole. Bill loved the beach and walked the shoreline for 10 miles listening to his music and hunting for sharks teeth and shells. That was his happy place. He also enjoyed riding his bicycle and doing yard work and gardening. His love for his daughter, wife and granddaughters was unconditional and shined bright. Anyone that knew Bill said what a great and genuine guy he was. He had many life long friends in NJ, several great friends and a “Brother from another Mother” here in Florida. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh, loved life, always willing to help and would give you the shirt off his back. He touched many lives and was loved by many.
He was diagnosed with AML in December of 2020 and fought through 4 rounds of treatment at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa FL. His wish was to go home after being hospitalized for over 3 weeks. He is now out of pain and reunited with his daughter Jamie and his parents. Bill’s Celebration of life Service will be held on Jamie’s Birthday (June 26th).
