

Art is survived by his loving wife Margaret. Three sons Ray (Ruth), John (Connie), Bob (Gayle); Two daughters Linda (John), Diane (Dale); 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother Alex and the mother of his children, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Art was predeceased by his father Wallace in 1956, his mother Gertrude in 1959. His sister Winnie, two brothers Bill and Mac; daughter-in-law Brenda; sister-in-law Mavis; brother-in-law Marcel. He is also survived by adopted grandson, Kevin; 3 step-sons, Vincent (Shannon), Melvin & Robert. Many adopted grandsons, granddaughters & great-grandchildren.
Arthur Alfred Bruce was born in Fairlight, Saskatchewan on March 25th 1923. Art served in World War ll in Company Unit North Nova Scotia. After his discharge in 1946 he worked as a farm hand before becoming employed with CP Rail , where he worked for many years. He then began construction work in Kola Manitoba. After this he worked for several farmers in the Fairlight area, before moving to Carlyle where he met Margaret.
His children will cherish their memories and special moments they had with their Dad.
Funeral Service: 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012 from the Ocean Man First Nation Band Hall with Pastor Robert Fenn officiating. Interment in Ocean Man Cemetery.
Wake: 5:00 p.m. Friday, September 14 from the Ocean Man Band Hall.
