Earla Evelyn Young

After years of good health, Earla died suddenly and peacefully during a brief stay in hospital for investigation of a little known illness.

Earla was predeceased by William Young, her husband of 72 years; sisters Blanche Ponich and Florence Young; brother Lorne DeGeer. She is survived by her daughters, Wilma (Raymond) Lothian, Carlyle & Elaine (Harry) Porter, Uxbridge, Ont.; Grandchildren, Brent (Jacky), Steven (Laurie), Michael (Colleen); Great-grandchildren, Breanne, Bailey, Austin, Chantal & Coleman.

A worship celebration of Earla’s life will be held a 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 7 from the Carlyle United Church with Rev. Sung Shim officiating. Our much loved and loving mother and grandmother will be missed.

If friends so wish, donations may be made to the Carlyle United Church Memorial Fund or a charity of their choice.
