Daniel graduated from Purdue University, continuing his academic pursuits with a master’s degree from The University of Akron. He went on to build a distinguished 43-year career as a chemist with Firestone, where his professional path also led him to meet the love of his life, Rose Anne.
A man of faith, Daniel was a longtime member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Rose Anne, his son Robert McGillvary, and his cherished grandchildren, Hannah Louise and Daniel Henry McGillvary. His wisdom, warmth, and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Per the family’s wishes, services will be private and held at a later date.
