Nécrologie de Darla Jean Scott
Darla Jean Scott, 58, of Indianapolis, departed this life at her home on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Darla was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on September 28, 1965, to David & Beatrice (Brooks) Worley. Darla grew up and attended schools in Zionsville, and she owned and operated her own home cleaning service, All Professional Cleaning. Darla was a kind and gentle soul who always put the needs of others first. She was an accomplished singer who had recorded several gospel albums over the years. In her younger days, her daughters would accompany her to different concert venues where they would operate the stage lights and sell CDs. Music was undoubtedly an integral part of Darla’s life, and she shared it with all she loved. Later on, it wasn’t uncommon to find Darla going about her day while singing her favorites with her AirPods snuggly attached. Darla was a joy to know and work with. She deeply loved her family and always appreciated the simple, little things that make life enjoyable. Her love of animals of all sorts was undeniable; she loved all things “Winnie the Pooh,” cherished regular trips to Cancun, and never missed an opportunity to encourage and celebrate others. She was happiest, though, making meaningful memories with her beloved family. Darla is survived by her beloved husband, Stephen Scott; her beloved parents, David and Beatrice Worley; her devoted children, Kristin (Adam) Renbarger, Lauren (Ben) Siegman; Ryan (Erica) Scott, Matthew (Kelly) Scott, Jami (Austin) Riley and Brandi (Jon) Clark; grateful grandchildren, Maylee, Tessa, Hollyn, Max, Marie, Boston, Collin, Isaac, Wyatt, Adele, Cody, Elsie and Titus; dear siblings, Dave (Vickie) Worley, Darrell (Mary) Worley and Teresa Worley Champagne and a host of nieces, nephews, grateful employees, old friends and her beloved Dachshund, Mia. Visitation for Darla will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Friday, May 10th, followed by her funeral service at 1:30 pm at Hope Church, 2500 East 98th Street in Indianapolis. Interment follows at Carmel Cemetery. To honor her grandbabies, memorial contributions are suggested to Northpoint Homeschool Academy at 13398 Tegler Drive #124, Noblesville, Indiana 46060, or to the Humane Society For Hamilton County at 10501 Hague Rd, Fishers, IN 46038.
