

Sharon White, of Carmel, Indiana, passed away on January 1, 2025, at the age of 76. She was born on April 25,1948, in Middletown Ohio to parents Jack and Edith Keifer. Sharon’s life was marked by her love for her family and friends that she held dear.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Steve White; son Chris White, daughter-in-law Becky White, grandsons Nicholas and Jackson White, and her sister Cathy Swift. She is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Edith Keifer and her brothers Sam and Mike Keifer.
Sharon graduated from Northwest High School in 1966 and went on to attend the IU School of Dentistry where she earned her degree as a dental assistant. Sharon and Steve married on July 27, 1968, after a long courtship that started in the 8th grade. They were truly each other’s best friend. In 1976 Sharon and her husband Steve opened their first Ace Hardware store. Sharon was still active in the business working in the office where she loved to talk to employees and customers.
Sharon was an avid reader and loved to travel with family and friends visiting places all over the world. Of all the places that she had been, Norris Lake was her happy place. Whether it was being on the boat or reading on the deck of the lake house, she cherished making memories with her family and friends. Sharon had a way of making every moment special.
Above all, Sharon’s greatest joy was being “Grammy’ to her grandsons Nick and Jack. She was their biggest cheerleader, always attending their soccer games and important life events. Her love for them was endless and she found great joy in watching them grow into young men.
Anyone who had the joy of meeting Sharon became a lifelong friend. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her ability to listen and her unwavering support for those she loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Sharon on Saturday, January 25th from 1 – 4 PM at the Bluffs at Conner Prairie. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Folds of Honor or Tunnels to Towers Foundation in her memory.
Sharon’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, devotion and joy will continue to shine brightly through her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, but forever remembered.
