Brian Jay Bengston, 27, was born on April 12, 1990. He was active in several sports and Boy Scouts as a youth and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He participated in gifted and talented programs in elementary school and middle school. He graduated from Hebron High School in 2008, where he played on the Junior Varsity basketball team and was inducted into the National Honors Society. Brian attended Texas Tech University on an academic scholarship and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. His college and career plans were ultimately impaired by health issues. Brian enjoyed playing basketball and was a sports fan, especially of the NBA. He loved animals and cherished his pets.
