David Martin Brown

David Martin Brown, age 62, went to be with the Lord in Lewisville, Texas, at his home, on Monday, March 19, 2012, with his family by his side after an 18 month battle with stomach cancer. He was born November 13, 1949, in Kankakee, Illinois. He married Carol Matthis on September 24, 1995. He is survived by his five children and eight grandchildren; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Eric Paige and grandchildren, Krislynn, Kenneth, Makenna and Trevor of Lewisville, Texas; son, Michael Brown and granddaughter, Alexandra of Elgin, Illinois; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Frank Alejandro and grandchildren, Zavier and Serena of Lewisville, Texas; daughter, Melissa Brown and grandson, Kaleb of Elgin, Illinois, and son, Matthew Swan of Lewisville, Texas; best friend, Donald Stroud of Lewisville, Texas; brother, Mark Brown of Beecher, Illinois; beloved dog, Taffy; and cats, Faith, Hope and Sassy. He is preceded in death by his father, John C. Brown; and infant daughter, Amy Lynn Brown. Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 22, 2012 from 5 pm - 8 pm at Rhoton Funeral Home located at 1511 S. I-35 E in Carrollton, Texas 75006.
