Dimple Marie Murray

Dimple Marie Murray, the daughter of T.C. and Dimple Starr Coleman, was born in Wills Point, TX December 28, 1926. She passed from this life in Carrollton, Sunday, April 14th following an extended illness.

She earned an associate degree from Baylor University and worked as a secretary for the Spring Branch Memorial School District retiring in 1982. Dimple married H.G. Murray, Jr., July 18, 1948 in Wills Point and the family resided in Houston from 1968-1982, and moved to Hide-A-Way Lake, TX in 1982 where she had many friends. Her husband preceded her in death September 10, 1992 and she moved to the Dallas area (Lantana) in 2007 and to Carrollton in 2010.

A Baptist, Mrs. Murray never met a stranger and was a member of several social organizations including the Red Hat Society.

A loving mother and grandmother she is survived by her children, Susie Schmidt and her husband, John of Spring, TX, Prissy Murray of Lantana, TX, Gib Murray and his partner Ben Hernandez of Dallas and Tom Murray and his wife Stacy of Pensacola, Fla.; and by her grandchildren, Timothy Schmidt and his wife Crystal, Catherine Pierce and her husband Patrick and Morgan Johnson.

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Wednesday at Rhoton Funeral Home where services will be held on Thursday at 10 am. Graveside services will be at the Tyler Memorial Park, Tyler, TX at noon on Friday. Memorials may be made to the Louis & Peaches Owen Heart Hospital, 703 S. Fleishal St., Tyler, TX
