Donald Lee Gornall

Donald Lee Gornall, 78, of Carrollton, Texas passed away on November 24, 2024. Don was born in Norman, Oklahoma on July 23, 1946 to Thomas and Donna Gornall. On February 1, 1967, Don married Joyce Block, with whom he shared the next 57 years.

Don was an avid woodworker and tinkerer who possessed the ability to fix, improve, or customize anything. A lifelong learner, he acquired these skills through his Navy service in the 1960’s and his 35 years in the semiconductor industry. Don lived and worked globally, and then enjoyed his retirement years spending time with family, woodworking, gardening, and hunting. He was always able to make those around him laugh with his quick wit and one-liners.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Donna Gornall, and by his brother, Ron Gornall.

Don is survived by his wife, Joyce Gornall, his daughters and their husbands, Wendy and Ken Hoggard, Vicki and Larsson Omberg, and his four grandchildren, Kenneth, Jacob, and Katherine Hoggard and Josefin Liv Omberg. Don is also survived by his sister and her husband, Karen and Al Carnes, and his nephew Brian Carnes.
