

Donna Jo (Davis) Perkins of Farmers Branch, Texas passed away peacefully at home on August 13, 2021. She was born in Duncan, Oklahoma on March 12, 1946. Donna attended Marlow High School. She was married to First Sergeant Franklin D Perkins, U.S. Army Retired, on January 4, 1972, and moved to Dallas, where she managed a gas station and convenience store for over 10 years. She earned many awards for her reliability and dedication to FasGas which was a DuPont subsidiary.
Later she was a Walmart associate and always dedicated to her fellow employees and making a difference.
After leaving retail, Donna became an accounting clerk for several travel agencies from 1985-20009.
Her 20-year tenure at Eagle Travel displayed to her dedication to employer and fellow employees. Following a complex merger, Donna retired.
Donna had been in alcohol recovery for 27 years and was dedicated to helping others achieve sobriety. She welcomed every opportunity to partner with AA members and enrich each other’s lives.
She was survived by children, Vicki (Adams) Parnell, Susan (Perkins) Organ, Colonel Stephen Perkins, U.S. Army Retired, grandchildren Derek Starnes, Daniel Parnell, Jamie (Organ) Perez and Cameron Perkins, great-grandchildren Michael Harris and Zelda Perez, sisters Gayle Cox, Lynn Bass and Connie Wright.
Donna was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Marvin Davis, mother, Evelyn (Davis) Shahan, and sister Ronda (Davis) Acord and her husband, Franklin D Perkins.
