EVA JANE FIELDS
November 2, 1942 – January 13, 2017
Jane Fields of Farmers Branch, Texas, age 74, born in Memphis, Texas, on November 2, 1942, went to be with our Heavenly Father on January 13, 2017 in Frisco, Texas. She is survived by her sister Linda Van Noy and brother-in-law, Marion of Tool, Texas. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Homer Paul Fields, of 47 years and by her parents Milburn and Lena Maxine Boswell-Parnell. Paul and Jane have three children Paula and spouse Jeff, Aaron and spouse Melody, and Jason and spouse Heide. They have seven grandchildren: Morgan, Jesse, Adam, Amanda, Ashley, Audrey and Ashtyn.
Her passion was music and she used her God-given talent of singing and performing with several Gospel groups and never turned down an opportunity to sing at church when she was asked. She found her calling while attending Southwestern Assemblies of God College in 1961 where she was part of a trio called the Joylaires.
Jane loved the Lord and would share the Gospel with everyone she met. One of her favorite earlier hobbies was visiting nursing homes with her children and entertaining the residents with family skits and singing. She continued that hobby even when she was a resident by blessing friends at the various facilities where she lived. She had a generous heart and would always find something to give someone.
As a Mom, Grandma, Sister and Friend, “Mimi” will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to: Southwestern Assemblies of God University c/o SAGU Alumni Association Scholarship, http://www.sagu.edu/advancement/endowed-scholarships
