I am so, so sorry about your Dad.  I only learned Saturday and words cannot even begin to express the sorrow.  

Your Dad was special in so many ways and he lived his life his way.  I know how much he loved you and how proud he was of you. You must miss him terribly.

I loved your Dad - we had known each other for 30 yrs.

If there is any way possible, would you please send me an email?  I want to talk with you and it would mean so much to me.  I've tried to 'find' you but without any luck.

I am so sorry to hear of Fred's passing. I only worked with him a short time last year, but enjoyed our friendship. My deepest sympathy of Krista and family.

I met Fred in the late 80's when we were both working for banks that no longer exist today.  I had the pleasure of working for him as his assistant in the early 90's.  A great boss - but not a perfect boss!  I have never felt like part of a family at work since my days working for him - that was a very special time.  I didn't keep in close contact with Fred over the last several years, but I have thought of him often.  He was a special man and will be greatly missed.

I had the honor of working with Fred at the former NationsBank and enjoyed every minute of it.  Fred followed me as operations manager in Wires and showed me how an operations environment should be run.  He spoke lovingly of his family and was a very proud father.

Krysta and family, I was so sorry and shocked to hear about Fred's passing. He was a wise business man, great mentor and good friend and boss. Krysta do you remember when you came to work with him and took orders for sandwiches from the reps. Those were fun days. He loved you very much and was so proud of you. 
I have to laugh when I think of all the times Fred had car troubles. We 
(supervisors)felt sorry for him and bought him a AAA membership for his birthday. Never really knew if he appreciated that or not.:) 
We were there for him during his heart surgery recovery and hope we made his job a little easier. 

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Zacks passisng.  I had the pleasure of working with him at Park Cities Bank. I miss him saying "it's to early to tell". He was a sweet kind person.

Earlier this week, I lost a great friend and Krysta lost a great father.  Although Fred spent the last 40 years in Dallas, he was originally from Omaha, Nebraska, and very proud of it.  Fred graduated from Creighton Prep and Creighton University.  I know he learned something at Creighton University because when I talked to him about taxes, he would get very excited and would emphatically relate the teachings of one of the fathers that corporations didn't pay taxes, individuals did.  

Fred went back to Creighton several years ago and returned to campus not long ago to give a speech.  One of the highlights of the speech was about the school spirit of Creighton.  Creighton's mascot was the Blue Jays. During Fred's speech, he noted that one of the yells that Creighton's cheerleaders used during his time at the University to the great displeasure of the faculty was “Give them the Bird”.   He loved the fact he was instrumental in bringing back that traditional yell to Creighton.

I first met Fred at First City Bank of Dallas in 1978 when I was a credit analyst and he was in operations management.  Fred worked at many other banks in and around Dallas including Comerica Bank and Nations Bank, which subsequently merged with Bank of America.  Fred was a very smart operations manager and was successful at all of the various banks where he worked.  Unfortunately, he was constantly changing jobs because of constant flux in the industry created by mergers and downsizing.

Fred loved Krysta and would love to talk about the various experiences he had with her.  One of those experiences was the purchase of her first auto, a new Izuzu.  Fred went into the Izuzu dealership and said that he was interested in purchasing a new car for Krysta.  Krysta found a car she liked and Fred asked for the dealor's best offer.  The salesman gave him the offer.  Fred thanked him and said that they would return after they went up the street to check out the competition.  He started to walk out with Krysta.  As he was just exiting the dealership, the salesman came back to him and said to come back into his office where he proceeded to give him another offer.   Fred thanked him again and started to leave once more.  The salesman raced after him again and said to come back and he would give him his Final offer.  Fred thanked him and started to walk out again.  The salesman grabbed him and gave him one more Final offer.  At that point, Fred realized that it was too good a deal to pass up and finally bought the vehicle.  As Fred was signing the documents, the salesman told him that he was the hardest bargainer that he had ever encountered.

About once a month, generally on a Friday, I would get a group of friends together and go to a local bar for drinks and dinner.  Fred was always the first one at the bar.  If I was 3 minutes late, I could count on getting a phone call from Fred wondering where I was.  After dinner, we would return to Fred's house where I would talk with him for hours about the Cowboys, Rangers, politics, investments, and primarily Krysta.  He was very proud of Krysta, the fact that she had attended Creighton, and had graduated from their pharmacy school with a doctorate in pharmacy.  He was ecstatic about the birth of his grandson and the fact that he was able to see his grandson right after his birth.

Fred was a wonderful friend and I will miss him greatly.  I would like to send my sincerest condolences to Krysta and the rest of the family

So sorry to hear of Fred's passing.  I got to know him in the last couple of years.  I enjoyed discussing banking opportunities and challenges and appreciated his insight.  My condolences to his family.
