

Guy O. Horn Jr., a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, designer, manufacturer, and businessman went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January, 12, 2021. He was born October 2, 1930 to Guy O.Horn Sr., and Elsie Markley Horn in Oklahoma. The family moved to Bryson, Texas in the early 1940's, and he readily claimed ownership to being a Texan. Graduating from Bryson High School in 1948, he attended Midwestern University, graduating with degrees in Business Administration and Petroleum Science. He was an officer in the Navy for 2 years during the Korean War and 14 years in the Naval Reserves. This introduced him to electronics; training as an Electronic Maintenance officer, and reinforced his love of the USA.
After his honorable discharge, he continued in electronics with Elgen Corporation, Lane-Wells company, and Welex. His continued interest in electronics led him to pursue hearing aids.
He manufactured hearing aids, and designed hearing aid circuits. Settling in Longview, Texas in the 70's he continued with technological developments to bring precision hearing aids to produce more natural hearing. In the 80's he moved his family to Fort Worth and spent his business time in East Fort Worth
working side by side with the love of his life, Pauline, and occasionally, his son's Guy (Trey) Horn III and Greg Horn joined them in the business. Guy and Pauline retired to Longview, Texas in 2015 to enjoy being surrounded by family.
Guy is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Wilma Toombs and daughter Rebecca Horn. He will be sorely missed, and is survived by his wife, Pauline Horn; sons, Guy ( Trey) Horn III and Lori, Greg Horn and his wife, Linda, daughters, Sherry Dykes, and husband, Dennis; Brenda Funderburk, and husband, Randy. Grandchildren are Haley, Kendall, Rebecca, Gary, Brandy, Lindsey, Sam, and Kasi; along with 9 great-grandchildren. A niece, Gwen Faherty and Fitz and nephew, Mike Toombs, and wife, Rachel. A viewing will be held, Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Rhoton Funeral Home, 1511 South Interstate 35E, Carrollton, Tx, from 10:30-11:30 with an interment at D-FW National Cemetery.
