

We are devastated to announce the unexpected passing of Hayden Bryan Stuart Chapa, 18, of Grand Prairie, TX, who passed away on August 12, 2025. Born on February 27, 2007, in Arlington, TX, Hayden was known for his enormous heart and the profound impact he had on everyone he met. He was not only smart and funny but deeply loved by all who knew him.
Hayden attended Ellen Ochoa STEM Academy at Ben Milam and graduated from Boerne High School in 2025. Though his time was cut short, he had already worked two jobs as a contractor and at Wendy's Boerne from 2024-2025 and was getting ready to attend college at Texas State Technical College-Red Oak in the HVAC program.
He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in San Antonio. Hayden had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, fishing, swimming or floating in the river, listening to music, skateboarding, and being with his friends. He also found joy in playing video games, embracing every aspect of life with enthusiasm.
Hayden is survived by his father, Cody Stuart; stepmother, Karen Stuart; stepfather, Jerry Seale; stepsisters, Madelon and Abigail Brown; great grandmothers, Carmela Gonzales and Joyce Kelley; grandmother, Diana Chapa; along with aunts and uncles, Brenda and LeeRoy Chapa, III, and Jeremy and Courtney Stuart. He leaves behind many other relatives who cherish him deeply. Hayden was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Chapa, and grandfathers, LeeRoy Chapa, Jr. and Bryan Stuart.
A memorial service for Hayden is scheduled for Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 1pm at Rhoton Funeral Home. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him.
