John Stephen Plaisted passed away Tuesday morning after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
John lived a life according to his own rules, was always the loudest voice in the room, and was loved by everyone he met. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He had a way of explaining things and talking through things that will forever be appreciated - he always had the best advice on life and the stock market.
John loved to watch his New England sports teams, always pulling for Tom Brady and the Red Sox to win. He loved to gamble and frequented the casinos or track every chance he got. His daughter, Allison, had arranged a trip for the two of them to go to the Kentucky Derby, one of his life-long dreams. She will still attend the Derby in May and honor his memory as he would have wanted.
He loved his family hard, wife Peggy, daughter, Allison Loucks and her husband, Stewart, grandchildren, Lorelei, Barrett and Evelynn. He is also survived by his mother, Ruth Knight, sister-in-law Charlene O’Hora and her husband Mike, sister-in-law Bonnie Clark, sister-in-law Karen Foster, nieces and nephews, Ian and Brittany O’Hora, Andrea and George Jeslis, Ben and Cara Jackson, Seth Jackson, Kris Samora, and their children.
Services will be held on March 20, 2021 at 1pm at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 11122 Midway Road, Dallas, Texas. His family asks for prayers of comfort as they grieve this unexpected loss.
