

Louise “Weezy” Shifflett, 86, of Farmers Branch, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 14th, 2025.
She was born in Kilgore, Texas on May 22nd,1939, to James and Gladys Moore. Louise was married to Stan Shifflett on August, 15th 1971. They were married for 54 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; James and Gladys Moore, Sisters; Alice Marie Douglas, Lois Faye Wagley, and Doretha Ann Moore.
She is survived by her husband, Stan. Her daughters; Sheila (Johnny) House, Debby (B.R.) Daley, Cynthia Gowen, Sara (William) Mehrhoff, Lisa Shifflett, and son Skip (Amy) Shifflett. Brothers; James (Tandee) Moore, Eddy (Patsy) Moore and Jerry Moore. She had 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 16 great, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Louise worked for many years at Green Cab Company as a Dispatcher, where she met Stan. After that, she ran her own In-Home Daycare until her retirement. She was also one of the remaining Charter members of the Farmers Branch Church of God since they opened their doors 57 years ago. She faithfully played the piano for the church until her health declined about a year ago.
She loved music, singing, playing the piano, Friday night dominos, cooking, church dinners, and making people happy. She especially loved when all her family would get together and she would make a big pot of soup, cornbread, and a cake or pumpkin bread for the family. She also made the best spaghetti on this planet.
