Pat J. Young

Patrick Joseph Young, 48, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013. Pat was a loving husband, step-father and friend; he will be greatly missed.

Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Rhoton Funeral Home, 1511 South I-35, Carrollton, Texas. Visitation: Monday, February 25, 2013 at Rhoton Funeral Home.

Pat was born in Kansas City, Kansas on August 8, 1964, the youngest of seven children. In 1980 he decided to leave Kansas for Dallas, Texas where he lived out his life as a proud Texan and avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He married Karen Kay Moore on October 31, 2011. He raised four step children, Kassie and Kari Manes, from his current marriage and Jeremy and Jessica Nelson from his first marriage. Pat was President and owner of Pat’s Discount Liquor and a Managing Partner for Fuse Logistics LLC. Pat loved music, and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. He also had a passion for technology, cooking and bowling.

Pat was preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Young and his father, John Young. He is survived by his wife Karen Young, The Colony, TX, his step-children Kassie and Kari Manes, The Colony, TX, Jessica Nelson, Addison, TX, Jeremy Nelson, Wichita Falls, TX; his mother, Betty Young, Shawnee, TX; his sisters Karen Beasley, Midland, TX and Susan O’Brien, Overland Park, KS; his brothers John Young, Jr., Shawnee, KS , Thomas Young, Shawnee, KS, and Michael Young, San Marcos, CA; his granddaughters, Kylie and Karlie Nelson, Wichita Falls, TX; Six Nieces and Seven Nephews.
