Sorry it wouldn’t let me write the whole thing in one post haha. But anyways, I’m still looking for Bigfoot and aliens, haven’t found any yet. Might have heard Bigfoot once, years ago, I hope so anyways. But still searching. You’d be so proud of everyone, this families amazing. Your part of the reason for that. And I know your watching over us on all of our get togethers and adventures and accomplishments. It’s so hard to believe it’s almost been 10 years. To think I was so young when you passed away. It really sucks but I’ll forever be thankful of the memories we have together. You taking me to the pool, watching finding Bigfoot, going fishing, cleaning your radishes from the garden, etc. I hope your proud of the women I’m becoming. Hi papa, it’s Taylor! Wow...it’s been about 7 years since I have wrote on here.  And about 4 since anyone has. Grandma brought this up today to me and I had totally forgotten about it and had the urge to write. Where do I even begin? You know everything that’s gone on in my life but it feels nice to tell you. I’m 19 now...holy cow. I graduated high school this last year and started my first year of college! About to start my second semester already. I have an amazing boyfriend named Victor, who you would love so much. And me and him are about to start working at the Dallas Stars center in Farmers Branch!!! Isn’t that awesome! I know you would be proud of me. And I think of you on my journey. You obviously know there’s a pandemic going on...it’s really crazy. Surreal almost. But everyone’s doing alright. Thank god no ones been sick. The worlds different now. People are different now. So much crazy going on. But I try to always remember to be kind and have a positive attitude towards everything, like you did. I love sports so so so much, you knew I would. The stars went to the Stanley cup this last year!!! It was amazing but sadly they didn’t win. I cried when they lost haha. I’m sure you’ve been watching all the games with us tho. Can’t wait to start this job and really be apart of the stars organization. I’m taking photography in college, it’s what I want my career to be. I love it so much and am getting a lot better. Me and my boyfriend try to visit grandma every week or every other week. She really likes victor. We all eat lunch and play cards and tell funny stories. I love spending time with her and am glad to have gotten so so close with her over the years. Victor loves history, sports, nature, westerns. Y’all would have gotten along so so well. He treats me amazing and loves our family. I can just imagine y’all sitting and talking about history or watching clit Eastwood movies together. And telling him your silly stories.

Hi Dad!
  I wish you had been here today! So many changes the start of this school year. Tori had her 1st day as a full time 7th grade Science teacher, who would have thought~I just told Nicolle I though she would have been a tattoo artist, haha. I am beyond proud of her, she has worked so hard to get to this point! Taylor started 7th grade, and although she was not really thrilled about it, she ended up having a good day. She has a lot of friends in her classes and most of the teaches seem nice, all but 1 class is AP so I think maybe that helps, the kids might actually care in those classes. The bad boys are all in school together now! Erick started kindergarden, Nick in 2nd and Kolbe in 4th, how can that be, where has the time gone! Stevie started at a new school also. She goes to a 2 year school that will help her learn more life lessons and is really excited about it! We will go have lunch with her, and see what she's learning! 
   We went to PA, took Stevie with us this year, and of course had the best time! Being there helps me feel close to you, looking at Gary, listening to him tell stories about what you did as kids, we don't want to leave when we go. Taylor says when she turns 18 she is moving there, who know, she really could do it!

Can you believe it? Class starts tomorrow. My class, my students! It has finally happened! A full time teaching job :) I have come all thos way but it feels like the adventures just begun! Mom and Taylor helped me decorate my room this weekend - it would have been a pretty plain room without them. It's filled with science quotes and posters, dragons and sharks, lots of the awesome flamingos mama finds me and of course some dragon flys

A lot has happened lately. I am LOVING my job at Gamestop. I wish you could see it here and listen to the stories already.

The boys are thriving. Kolbe took his STAAR testing at school and got glasses. Nickolas has finally started losing his teeth! Erik is about to graduate from Pre-K on the 30th! Next year all 3 of them will be moving to Rosemeade Elementary School by the house.

We are headed up to Madison in a couple of weeks to visit (just Robbie and I). I am looking forward to everything about it and seeing Julie and Jamie and friends. I will never forget when we drove up there, and ate macaroni on the side of the road.

I've been running a lot. Am finally getting back into the swing and have lost a LITTLE weight.

It feels weird to look at your picture, because I can hear you talking and see you as you are, but know I will never experience it again. I miss you more than you could ever imagine, and love you more than I ever told you.

Papa- I can't believe it's been 2 years.

I remember exactly what we were doing.
Now, look at everything that has happened…life keeps on going, but it's not the same without you here.

Kolbe is 9 now, can you believe it? It's not like it was much different than last year though since he wanted his birthday party at Nickelmania, yet again. Haha. He is too smart for his own good, and likes to solve things, build stuff and figure things out. He's got some anxiety issues going on though…I wonder where he got that from, and I wish you were here to help make him a little more CALM. Nick will be 7 in 2 weeks. He wants his party at Pump it Up (again). These boys are creatures of habit. Nick loves video games and math. If you need something calculated ask him…he can do it for you. Erik is trouble and I can't believe he will be 5 soon. Next fall ALL of them will be in elementary school. I'm excited about Erik starting because he's the only one that actually enjoys homework…it's actually not a mini-torture session to work with him on school work. 

(You would laugh here - I miss your laugh)

So, guess what? I got a NEW JOB! I just was not enjoying it at Neimans as you know, and since everything else has kind of settled for the most part (when are things ever smooth), I put out an application to Gamestop. In a matter of 9 days I had an offer! Oh I wish you could be here to see what it's like. I know I'm only on Day 4 right now, but this really, really feels right. To the point where I feel like this is the first time it's been an ideal fit (not fashion) and I'm wondering why I waited so long to change industries if you know what I mean. But then again, I probably wouldn't have gotten the job if I didn't have the longevity from Fossil. I can see a really long term great opportunity here and it already feeling like "home". I never had that at Neimans. Lands' End was great, but personal stuff takes priority.

This month is really busy with family things, get togethers and the kids being out of school. Lots of great things on the horizon and we are enjoying our family and fun time at the house and out and about. We're gonna go get a real tree this weekend. Remember when Mom and I had one and it fell over and I had to hold it until you came over to help? I remember that so well! I wish you could have met Robbie. You guys would have been the best fishin', drink in', pool-playin', grill buddies there ever were. Mama gave us two of your shot glasses and I have a lot of odds and ends from the shed. They are all in the wooden chest.

We're all going to come out and visit you Saturday. It will be the first time the boys have been. Can't wait to see you and we love and miss you every single day.

Hi Dad,woke up today knowing that I would have to make it through the one day that will forever be the saddest day of my life,I miss you. I got Stevie to school and then called Mom and of course she couldn't talk,she is so sad and misses you like crazy,my heart hurts for her. When Taylor and I were in PA, one of the times we were visiting Pappy, he kept singing "My Bonnie Lies Over The Ocean", over and over. Well yesterday in Taylor's choir class the teacher asked if anyone knew this song, and THAT was the song! What are the odds that in 6th grade choir they would be sing that!!! Hi Dad! Missed writing on here for your birthday, but you were with us~we were in San Marcos and every morning their was a red cardinal outside our hotel room, either in a tree or on the fence! Robbie and I went to Hard 8 (BBQ) the other day, and I kept thinking about how much you would have loved it, not only for the food and beer, but the smokers. I miss you and love you!

Hi Dad! Thinking of you like always,especially today. This is a very bittersweet Father's day,I'm not spending it with you,but thank God that Jeff is here to spend it with Stevie. We had  quite a scare in March,Jeff was very sick and had surgery. The whole time all I could think about was how I lost you at 45 years old,I prayed Stevie would not lose her Dad at 18. He was strong like you and pulled through,I believe YOU were watching over him, Thank-you Dad!
Stevie and I went to the State Games for Special Olympics and she did awesome,she came home with a gold and bronze medal,she is really a great tennis player,you would enjoy watching her. We were out one day eating and I saw a man that reminded me of you,he wore the same kind of clothes that you always had on and he was wearing a Korean Vet cap,it was Memorial Day weekend,the holiday you always thought was most important. I got my nerve up and introduced myself to him and told him about you and asked him to take a picture with me,he was adorable like you and did. It made me cry,but at the same time it made me think of you and I was happy.Everyday I think of you,I don't think that will ever go away,you were just to special and I just love you so much.

 Hi Dad, It's been a while since I have wrote to you, but I talk to you every day! Steph and I took the girls to the cemetery, we left some eggs with notes in them for you, and some beautiful flowers. Then we had lunch with you and it was great to tell you everything going on!
 We took Taylor camping over spring break and she loved it! Did some fishing (didn't catch anything, not even a nibble!)some paddle boating, and some nature trails in the woods. Taylor was looking for Bigfoot,(she had her "Gone Squatchin" shirt on) so we took her back when it was getting dark and it scared the crap out of her!! She loved it all and didn't want to leave!
 It's getting time for her to take the STARRS test and you know how worried she gets about it! I know you will be with her when she takes it!
 Our new guy Sam is doing good, already over 40 lbs, and 5 months old. Charlie loves him, Max can't stand him, maybe in time he will.
 Well Pappy turned 99, can you believe it! Maureen says when you ask him how old he is he says 91, funny, he still looks the same, always Pappy.

Mama found 3 cassette tapes of you playing the guitar, us playing the guitar together and Mr. Boyd and I. Robbie is recording them and making digital files and editing, once those are done I will make copies for everyone. You sound so good and I like to listen to all the words and hear how much you loved playing music. It almost makes me want to capture so much more now than I do so that it's here for people later on in life. 3 cassettes is not enough! You would have LOVED watching how all of the digital stuff works, and recording using that technology. I miss you and love you.

He was in Korea when you were, and I read he was born on June 26th,so we share a birthday! it's me just came home from putting rose's on your grave. pretty white ones with red trim. havent't said i miss you because you know i do.but you will-never know how much.first thing in the morning and last thing at night.and lots during the day.i had catract done on my lefy eye 2 weeks ago. i wamted you there so bad.all the kids are fine. KOLBE has been going to SUNDAY SCHOOL AND CHURCH with us. him and TAYLOR spend time together. boy TAYLOR got a german shepard pup for XMAS and he is growing in leaps and bounds.beautiful dog. well think VIC and I will go to MARSHALL.S for supper. so will sign off for now just know i love you beyond words. love pat

Hi Dad,a year ago I sent you a message on my birthday and here it is again,I can't believe it. Mom sent me a sweet card and of course it made me think of you,everyday you are in my thoughts.Victor wanted to make sure that we could send you letters forever, so today I made sure your book would be available to us forever,it is a very sweet gift from him. 
I don't usually watch college football,but I did with Jeff tonight because Notre Dame was playing for the championship,you would not have been happy with them. Oh well, maybe next year.
Christmas was good,but of course, will never be the same. The best present I got was from Mom,it is a picture from your wedding day,I will cherish it forever,I have pictures of you everywhere! I miss you so much and love you,sneak into my dreams soon,it's been awhile.

Well, it's Christmas Eve Day and I'm sitting here at work thinking about you. Last night Robbie was playing some music on the computer that he had recorded with his sister, and I just kept thinking about how interested you would have been in that. I can picture you letting him record you play the guitar and sing.

I think about the Christmas songs you used to sing. I think about the records that used to be played in the house and it reminds me of Christmas when I was little.

It's so different now.

The boys are excited about Santa. We are going to have our Christmas at the house in the morning and then everyone else will hopefully come over about noon or 1. I think you would have liked the chicken and croissants I'm going to make.

Life is busy, but life is good. I'll wake up in the morning with the sounds of you pretending to be Santa in my head and smile.

Hi Dad, A year ago I did not know how I would get through the days without you here-now 365 days have gone by and all I know is it's one day at a time, just one day at a time, that's the only way I know how to do it. Many sad days, but happy ones too. I think of you every day, and talk to you all the time. I miss you so much. I LOVE YOU DAD!

Dear Dad,
Mom,Mattie and I visited you on Tuesday,we brought you a beautiful little tree with lights and tinsel, Mattie brought you some of your favorite nuts that you would crack open and eat at this time of the year. You always loved those!
Well,we somehow made it through a very sad year,not a day goes by that I am not thinking of you and wishing you were here. I loved telling you stuff that was going on in our lives,you were always so happy and excited for us,your smile was amazing!
Christmas will forever be different without you here,you always made it a happy and joyous day. Christmas breakfast will never be the same, you always made sure we had enough before you would eat yours.(Always thinking of others first,of course, amazing you!) 
I will always remember our special song,Must Be Santa and the way I would sit on your lap when I was little and sing together and laugh. A memory that will stay with me forever. I sometimes wish I was little again so I could have you back.Because of you Dad,I will never forget,"Who has a beard that's long and white? Who comes around on a special night?" I have been working many soccer matches and I know you were watching. I feel good knowing your there. I know this is gonna be a really rough time for all of us. The up side is that you built such a strong family core. I'm amazed how we can get knocked down, yet get back up and ask for more! I just want to hang out with you. I had a dream about you 2 nights ago. I wish there was more detail to it, but it had been awhile and I am thankful I got to see you in my dream. I was walking through the woods and you walked through in your long pants, white shirt and a baseball cap. You looked really happy and smiled! You also looked really healthy! There was a house behind you and you were out hunting. I was happy to see you!!

Well, it's been busy around here. Work is in full swing and I'm trying to find my way. I really wish you were here to talk about things. All of the successes and failures. I sure could use some advice right now.

The boys keep me busy. Kolbe is really enjoying Cub Scouts...he has a fishing trip this weekend. Of course that makes me think of you too and how if you were here you could be the one to take him. Nickolas is playful and really into writing and drawing right now. Erik is talkative and smart! He still needs to be potty trained though!

Things are tough sometimes, but things are good. I will see you on Sunday. I love you.

10 months ago today.

It was the first thing I thought of when I woke up this morning. Last night was a wonderful night with the boys. Lots of love in our household and I wish you could see it.

Kolbe is getting so mature in so many ways. It makes me sad to think you won't be there when he turns 8. You would put your hand on his shoulder and say "such a great young man". I can just picture it in my head. He's really enjoying Cub Scouts and excellent in school this year. He reads to his brothers in the car. He is always thinking. Nickolas keeps me on my toes! Erik is fun and testing his limits! Erik drew "family" at school and the people he had on there were grandma, grandpa and Taylor. It was cute.

Work is really kicking in. I still feel like the "new girl", but most days I feel very productive and learn a little something new each time I come to work. I like that. It's just hard to "start over".

I'm going to come visit next weekend.

I'm really missing you today. There's just lots going on and I wish you were here. This would be a good weekend for you to come over and have dinner. 

I think about you all the time. I wonder where you are.

I wish you could have met Robbie.

I can't believe its been 9 months, when it was 5 months I graduated, and today I had substitute teaching orientation! I think it went really well, but I am anxious to actually start!
It really sucks I can't just drive over and tell you all about it. Especially now that I live like 10-15mins away! I gotta drive over and tell Mama though, you know her shell be expecting cobbler though! ;)
 
I dreamed about you the other night, maybe I am not as okay with everything as I thought. Maybe you knew I just needed to see you. We all need to see you though. I dont know, and I know I wont get an answer as to why and what it meant. All that matters is that afterwards I felt great having felt you and your love and your reassurance. So thank you
I miss you so much, we all do. 
Oh gez and watch over us on that crazy camping trip me and Taylor are going on! We are gonna need all that you taught us to get through that one! "Better to have too much than not enough" I bet I'll need to remember that this trip :) it'll be amazing though! I know it will!

Well, the boys started school today! Kolbe is in 2nd, Nickolas in Kindergarten and Erik started at Kindercare. You would have thought they looked so handsome in their uniforms! I did! I was up by 5:30 to get myself ready, make a good breakfast, get them up and ready and over early for the first day. It reminded me up when we used to get up before the sun came up to go to the airport! You always had your cup of coffee ready to go!

I saw a few pictures of you this weekend I hadn't seen before. Anyways, I'm just missing you, and wondering where you are. I wonder that every day. It's been awhile since you've been in my dreams. I love you!

Hi Dad~as you know Taylor and I went to PA, and we had a wonderful time. It was so good to see everyone, there were a lot of tears, but stories and laughter too. It was not the same without you, but as we are all realizing, nothing is. I think I felt you the most when we went up on the trails into the mountains, it was beautiful. I have to believe you were with us, I just have to believe it. I love you Dad, and I miss you so much.
