

Paula Kay Thompson was healed and entered the arms of Jesus at the age of 73 on July 20, 2013. She was born on June 6, 1940 to Clyde and Lillian Watson of Mineral Wells, Texas. Paula was a member of First Baptist Carrollton for 39 years and for many years she taught 1st grade Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Paula was a self-educated, lifelong accountant and was retired from Standard Register. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Homer; daughter, Tracey Hutcherson and her husband Jamal and grandson Micah of Spring, Texas; granddaughter, Joni Hutcherson of Balch Springs, Texas; son, Scott Thompson, Carmen and granddaughter Emma of Cumming, Georgia; son, Marc Thompson and granddaughter Jorden of Cumming, Georgia; brother Bill Watson of Garner, Texas; brother-in-law Wayne Laeder of Chesterton, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews, Jackie, Donna, Billy, Johnny, Shelley, Larry, Travis, Leslie and David. Paula was preceded in death by her parents; twin brother and sister, Bennie and Winnie; brother Larry Watson, sister in-law Jeanette Watson; and sister-in-law, Geri Laeder.
Family will recieve friends Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 6 pm - 8 pm at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton, Tx. Funeral Services will take place Friday, July 26, 2013 at 10 am at First Baptist Church of Carrollton, with Dr. Brent Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Hilltop Memorial Park in Carrollton, Texas.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Carrollton’s Living Proof Choir Mission Tour.
