Ronald Duane Campbell

Ron was born in Williamsburg, Iowa on January 5, 1937, to Vaughn Campbell and Minnie Campbell. He graduated from Victor High School in Victor, Iowa in 1955. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958, and then continued to receive several certifications in Trade School. Ron was married to Sally Wiedemeier on October 3, 1964, they were married for 59 years.

Ron worked as a mechanic for Braniff Airlines and a maintenance technician in the simulator for its subsidiary, Dalfort for a total of 30 years. He enjoyed designing and woodworking in the garage. He loved the water and enjoyed water skiing and snorkeling. He and his wife snorkeled at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. He also enjoyed playing cards and did a lot of traveling.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Jack Campbell and Keith Campbell, and nephew, Roger Campbell.

Ron is survived by his wife, Sally Campbell, sister Karen Kuhnle (Wayne), sister-in-law Janice Campbell, brother-in-law, Larry Wiedemeier (Betty), sister-in-law Karen Wiedemeier, and step-brother-in-law Marty Block, and cat CC, along with many nieces and nephews.

A light reception for Ronald will be held Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Rhoton Funeral Home, 1511 South I-35E, Carrollton, TX 75006. A memorial service will occur Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, 1511 South I-35E, Carrollton, TX 75006. A committal service will occur Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 2:30 PM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
