Roy Joseph Holub Jr.

RJ was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on January 22, 1947, to Roy Sr. and Alma Holub. He graduated from Richland High School in Fort Worth, Texas. He went on to join the Air Force where he served in Vietnam. After he served out country he came home and earned his Masters of Professional Accounting from The University of Texas at Arlington in 1979.

RJ worked as a CPA for 53 years, during which time each of his clients became his close friends. He enjoyed the finer things in life including golf, Glenlivet, and a good cigar. He was also actively involved in St. Jude Charities and a contributor to KERA.

RJ is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved sister, Cindy.

RJ is survived by his son Christopher, his daughter Lauren, 4 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 2 great grandsons, and 1 great granddaughter, as well as countless good friends and loved ones.

A visitation for RJ will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Rhoton Funeral Home, 1511 South Interstate 35e, Carrollton, TX 75006. A funeral service will follow beginning at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and will conclude with a committal service starting at 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
