Ruby, the daughter of James and Willie Bryant, was born on July 30, 1928 in Birmingham, Alabama. She married Allen Ray York in 1959. After living in many different states as a military family, they settled in Farmers Branch, Texas in 1973. Ruby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of Woodlake Baptist Church in Carrollton. She loved to read the bible, write her prayers, draw, crochet and dance. Ruby was a wonderful woman of God and leaves behind a legacy of prayer, singing and loving kindness.
She is preceded in death by her husband Allen York, son Robert Matteson, her parents James and Willie Bryant, and 9 brothers and sisters.
Ruby is Survived by her sisters Marty Salayi and Joyce Stewart, sons George York, Keith (Joyce) York, grandchildren Zachary York, Tashina (David) Landis, Amanda York, Samantha (Lucas) Baldwin, Megan (Dakota) Tarvas, Josh (Herminia) York, and 8 great grandchildren.
