

Sarolta Tanos beloved wife and mother born May 1, 1929 went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2011. Sarolta Tanos was born in Lenti Kapolna, Hungary, the daughter of Mihaly and Maria Lengyel. She was the sixth of nine children.
Sarolta moved to United States, with her husband, Antal Tanos in 1956 seeking a better life for her and her family to be. Together they initially settle in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where she gave birth to her first son, Anthony in 1957, and two years later to daughter Susan. The Tanos family relocated to Dallas, Texas in 1960, where Sarolta gave birth to her second son, George in 1962. Sarolta also has a step daughter, Maria, that she thought of as her own.
Sarolta was a dedicated wife and mother. She was a stay at home mom until her youngest son turned twelve, after which she went to work with an Insurance company for ten years.
She enjoyed playing card games, reading Hungarian novels, and watching classic movies as well as comedies. She also enjoyed going out to eat on special occasions. She was a generous person with a kind heart. She had a magical touch in the kitchen, spreading her love with the most delicious Hungarian dishes, pastries, and desserts. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and each person that had the opportunity to know her.
Sarolta was preceded in death by her parents Maria and Mihaly Lengyel, brothers Karoly, Istvan, Gyula, Josef, and Lajos, and sister Annus. In addition to her husband, Antal Tanos and children Anthony Tanos, Susan Tanos, George Tanos, and Maria Greksa, she is survived by her two sisters, Eta Varga and Rozse Varga, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Active pall bearers will be Anthony Tanos, George Tanos, Istvan Tanos, and Ferenc Greksa.
Visistation will be Monday, August 22, from 06:00 – 09:00 p.m at Rhoton Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 26th at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1710 W. Peters Colony Rd., Carrollton, Texas.
