Edward Eugene Shure passed away from cancer at his home on June 9, 2024. He had begun hospice care in March. Edward was born on July 15, 1948 to Edward and Lois Shure in Shelby, Montana. He was raised in Shelby for several years and then moved with his parents and brothers to Great Falls, Montana. After attending high school in Great Falls, he served in the U.S. Navy. Upon returning from overseas, Edward attended the University of Montana in Missoula where he studied accounting and finance. He met his wife Janet at the University and they were married on December 27, 1980. Edward spent many years in retail management where he put his accounting and finance skills to good use. After retiring, he researched many topics of interest. He was truly a storehouse of fascinating facts. He loved classic cars, muscle cars, car races, and watching auctions. Edward always enjoyed giving to others. More than anything, he loved seeing other people's happiness. He delighted in telling others about his sons' accomplishments.
Edward was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Richard. He is survived by his wife Janet and three sons, Rodney (Lisa); Blake (Lisa), Byron; grandson Everett; brother Steve; brother-in-law Edward; nieces Krista (Ethan), Miranda; and nephew Michael (Jaelyn) .
He leaves behind two cats, Misty and Pearl, who loved him dearly as well. We're looking forward to the day when we will be together again.
