Josephine Debra Vanderdoes

Josephine Debra Vanderdoes passed away on June 27, 2023 in Carson City. She has joined her father Nick, daughter Amanda, grandson Hayden, and nephew Truckee in their eternal home. She was born January 12, 1961 in San Bernardino County California to Nick and Beverly Sclafani. Josephine had four siblings. Tina (Jerry), Steve (Jennifer), Karen, and Tony. She married the love of her life John Henry Vanderdoes on October 21, 1978. Josephine and John had three daughters named Amanda, Niki (Mark) and Jessica (Jj). Between the three of them they have given Josephine 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Some of Josephine's passions included spending time with her family, looking for treasures, repurposing furniture, and traveling. Josephine's career included working in accounting and billing as well as the IT department in the medical field. In 2012 she decided to retire and fulfilled a dream she has always wanted which was to open up a Thrift /Antique shop. She loved every minute of it and after that started an online Auction. She loved collecting items and treasures.

In 2022 Josephine was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer. After a long and courageous year of treatment and complications she decided to go home on hospice. Josephine was surrounded by her loved ones when she was finally called home. She will be deeply missed and loved by many.
