Addie Mae Segars

Mrs. Segars was born September 19, 1914 in Bartow County, a daughter of John and Hamiter Lankford Bohannon.

She was a longtime resident of Emerson, faithful member of the Bethany Baptist Church and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jim Segars and J. D. Franklin and her son and daughters, Earl Segars, Marie Ashworth and Iris West and her brothers and sister, Ed, Jesse, Debe, and Roy Bohannon and a sister, Ruby Gravley.

Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie Oliver, Faye Segars and Ann Earwood and sons, Charles and Roy Segars, and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 11, 2010, from the Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Bradford Thomas and Rev. Duane Earwood officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and will lie in state at the church from 11:00 A.M. till 2:00 P.M. Thursday.
