Alvin Thacker

Mr. Thacker was born March 31, 1932 in Bartow County, Georgia son of the late Barney Thacker and Nellie Nelson Thacker. He was retired form Lockheed-Martin Aircraft in Marietta.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Moore Thacker; his children, Gary & Melody Thacker, Greg & Louisa Thacker; grandchildren, Terry Thacker, Carey Thacker, Dan Thacker, Ann Thacker, Alan Thacker; great-grandchildren, Alex Thacker, Zach Thacker, Dakota Thacker, Draven Thacker, Oran Thacker; brothers & sister, James Thacker, Jerry Thacker, Earl Thacker, Hazel Earwood, Martha Lewis; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning May 3rd at 11:00 a.m. in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Rob Moore and Rose Mincey officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Terry Thacker, Carey Thacker, Dan Thacker, Alex Thacker, Zach Thacker, Jeff Blalock, and Brian Lewis.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Amedysis Hospice.
