Anthony "Tony" John Evans

Anthony “Tony” John Evans, age 52 of Cartersville, GA passed away peacefully on Monday, October 9, 2023. He was born in Rome, GA on January 28, 1971 to Johnny Wayne Evans and Evelyn Faye Johnson Evans.

Tony was a fun-loving guy who never met a stranger. He was quick to offer a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Tony was also known for his incredible sense of humor. He would always have everyone around him laughing, usually at their own expense.

The thing he enjoyed most was spending time with the people he loved. Whether that be skeet shooting, riding four wheelers, kayaking, or just hanging out at home.

Tony is preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Evans. He is survived by his children, Morgan (Chris) Rogers, Gracie Evans, Will Evans and their mother, Wendy Garland Wingard; father, Johnny Evans; brother, Jeff (Brenda) Evans; and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 14, 2023 in the Chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Randy Cochran and Jeff Evans officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
