

Arleda was a devout Christian and member of Sam Jones Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. Arleda was very active in church activities including Meals on Wheels, Gracelink, and a member of both the choir and Marco Sunday school class. Arleda retired from AT&T as a telephone operator after many years of service. In her later years, she saw a lot of the country touring and playing golf with her husband and friends. She and her wonderful cooking will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Arleda is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Herb Dittmer, son, Herbert Dittmer, Jr., and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (Bill) Huskins, Thomas (Melody) Dittmer, daughter-in-law, Gayle Dittmer, Mark (Robyn) Dittmer, Jeffrey (Sherry) Dittmer, Todd (Michelle) Dittmer, and Danny (Renee) Dittmer . Sister Dorothy Stark and Sister in law Dianne Leonard, sixteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren also survive to cherish her memory.
A celebration of Arleda's life will be conducted in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at two o'clock in the afternoon with the Rev. Kevin Labello officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Sunset Memory Garden and serving as pallbearers will be: Adam Dittmer, Seth Dittmer, Trent Dittmer, Thad Dittmer, John Dittmer, Ben Dittmer, Case Dittmer and Billy Joe Huskins.
The family will receive friends at Owen Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from twelve o'clock noon until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Sam Jones Memorial United Methodist Church.
