Bernice L. Simpson

In her early years, Bernice worked at Fabric Outlet as a seamstress in Cartersville, Georgia for over ten years before closing. Shortly thereafter, she worked at White Elementary School before retiring.

Throughout her entire life, she always had a green thumb. She enjoyed having a nursery and growing many plants and flowers. Bernice was a very strong and independent woman . She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends and loved making a meal after church every Sunday for all to attend. Mrs. Bernice was a loving woman will deeply be missed by all who knew her.

Along with her parents and husband, Bernice was preceded in death by daughters, Aline Broadaway and Patricia Marcus and grandson, Chris Broadaway.

She is survived by her son, Samuel (Elaine) Simpson; son in law, Kenneth Broadaway; grandchildren, Mark (Paula) Simpson, Charla (Jeff) Dover, April (Steve) Wallis, Kevin (Heather) Broadaway Darryl (Beverly) Broadaway, Greg Broadaway, and Carrie McDaniel, great grandchildren, Cheyanna McDaniel, Logan Broadaway, Kaitlyn Broadaway, MacKenzie Dover, Samantha Dover, Bodie(Rachel) Crane, Danielle Crane, and Luke Simpson; great great grandchildren, Elijah Crane, Malcom Abernathy and Kayleigh Dover.

A funeral service to honor Mrs. Bernice Simpson will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 12:00pm in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home. Friends are cordially invited for visitation two hours prior to the service.
