Betty Wilson Tidwell

Betty Tidwell, age 90 of Cartersville, GA passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020. She was born on September 28, 1929 in Cartersville, GA to the late Frank Wilson and Annie Chitwood Wilson. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Tidwell; daughter, Cathy Kown; son-in-law Johnny Kown; granddaughter, Jessica Kown, brothers, Howard Wilson, James Wilson, Ralph Wilson, Carl Wilson, Bobby Wilson; sisters, Ollie Edwards, Mildred Berrong, Thelma Orton, Mary Bramblett, Gladys Summy;

She is survived by her grandchildren, Derick Kown, Shawna Kown, great-grandchildren, Jaycee Abernathy, Calvin Abernathy; sister-in-laws, Nell Tidwell, Ruth Tidwell and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was a lifelong member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cartersville.

A Graveside Service will be conducted on at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jonathan Padgett officiating. Pallbearers will be Derick Kown, Paul Wilson, Randy Wilson, Johnny Wilson, Harold Wilson and Ronnie Smith. Steve Wade will serve as honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm.
