Bobbie Jean Davis, age 81, of Cartersville, GA, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025. She was born on October 11, 1943, in Cartersville, GA, to James Ralph Lewis and Mildred Jeanette Cline Lewis.
Bobbie grew up in Cartersville and later spent many years in Marietta, where she built a life full of love, family, and faith. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Davis; her parents, James and Mildred Lewis; and her sisters, Joy May, (Robert May, deceased), and June Goss, (Ronald Goss Sr.)
Bobbie’s greatest joy was her family. She was a proud and loving mother to Dawn Davis Heisler and Ross Davis, and cherished her daughter-in-law, Katherine Birmingham. She adored being “Granny” to Jordan Hood and Aaron Hood (Kelsie), and she delighted in her role as “Great-Granny” to Levi, Mayple, and Mila Hood.
She shared a deep and enduring bond with her sisters, Jan Lewis Boland, (Jim, now deceased), and Jimmye Lewis Duke, (Gary), and treasured her many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and cousins. Bobbie faithfully lifted up all her loved ones in prayer.
A devoted member of Rowland Springs Baptist Church, Bobbie found joy supporting the church’s Feed and Seed Ministry. Her faith was central to her life, and she lived it out daily with a gentle spirit and generous heart.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Rowland Springs Baptist Church, 79 Rowland Springs Road, Cartersville, GA, with Rev. Joe Ringwalt officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Georgia Memorial Park, 2000 Cobb Pkwy SE, Marietta, GA.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
