Mr. Bobby Brock Dawson, Sr.

Mr. Dawson was born August 25, 1934 in Bartow County, the son of the late, John Thomas and Irene Brock Dawson, was a U.S. Marine Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict, was a member of the Pipefitters Local #72 and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Kingston.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, John Ellis Dawson and a brother, Phillip Thomas Dawson.

Surviving is his wife, Shelby Dawson, children, Timothy and Angela Dawson, Bob and Angie Dawson, all of Kingston, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Branton and Rev. Larry McCoy officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be John Dawson, Daniel Harrelson, Anthony Hollis, Boyd Penson, Robbie Hudson and Tony Southern.

Members of Pipefitters Local #72 will serve as honorary pallbearers.
