For 27 years, Carol was the proud owner of Designs by Carol florist in Cartersville, Georgia. Through her artistry and heart, she helped celebrate countless weddings, comfort grieving families, and mark life’s most meaningful moments. Her shop was more than a business, it was a place where kindness, creativity, and community came together.
Carol was a devoted leader and servant to her community. She served as President of the Allatoona Lake Association and was a Bartow Chamber of Commerce award recipient, recognized for her dedication and impact. She gave generously of her time and talents, always striving to make Cartersville a better place.
Above all, Carol’s love for Christ was the foundation of her life. Her faith was strong and unwavering from an early age. As a young girl, she sang at her church every morning before high school, a reflection of the joy and devotion that remained with her throughout her life. Her faith guided her actions, shaped her kindness, and shined brightly through her spirit.
Known lovingly as “Miss Carol,” she was adored by all who knew her. She had a beautiful presence, sunny, warm, welcoming, and full of grace. She made people feel seen, valued, and loved. Her laughter, her encouragement, and her genuine heart will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her son, Craig McClary and his wife, Tracy, of Cartersville, Georgia; her brother, James Lucas and his wife, Kate, of St. Paul, Minnesota; her niece, Brenda Roth; and her nephew, James Lucas.
