Cleo Jackson Ponder

Mrs. Ponder was born April 6, 1921, the daughter of the late, Joe A. and Lela (Chapman) Jackson, was a homemaker and the oldest member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan Ponder.

She is survived by two sons, Floyd Ponder and his wife Liz and Ronnie Ponder and his wife, Kathy, grandchildren, Karen Cave, Connie Chase, Carisa Myrick, Stephanie Luttrell, Beverly Hardin, George Stephens, Natalie Ponder and Leslie Ponder, thirteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Ruth Powell, brothers, Joe Jackson, Jr., Aubrey Jackson and Euel Jackson and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Cochran and Rev. Greg Powell officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Donny Myrick, Mark Chase, George Stephens, Bailey Arrington, Heath Massey and Shannon Cagle.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
