Mr. Sweet was born November 14, 1950, the son of the late, Cecil and Hazel Sweet and was of the Mormon faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Theresa Moore and brothers and sisters.
Surviving is his wife, Melody Sweet of Kingston, children, David Sweet II of Stone Mountain, Georgia, April Sweet of Paluski, New York, David Sweet III of Kingston, Ginger Sweet of Sugar Valley, Georgia, eight grandchildren, sister, Maryellen Sweet of Rochester, New York, Connie Sweet of Marietta, Georgia, a brother, Donny Sweet of Watertown, New York and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
A memorial service will be held at a later day and time.
Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
