

Mrs. McDonald was born February 21, 1927 in Bartow County, a daughter of the late John Wesley Cox and Drusilla Griggs Cox.
She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church and a retired office manager. She especially loved gardening, flowers, bird watching, weather forecasting, cooking, painting and her grandchildren.
Preceded in death by Harold McDonald, she is survived by two daughters and son in laws, Karen McDonald Morris and T.M. Morris, of Rydal and Jan McDonald Mathison and Dewayne Mathison, of Cartersville, two brothers, Hugh W. Cox, of Stone Mountain and Robert (Peck) Cox and wife Elma, of Cartersville, grandchildren, Garrett and Lisa Weeks, of White, Maurni and Chris Moss, of White, Kevin Mathison, of Cartersville and Brooke and Mark Spinner, of Cartersville, her great grandchildren, Terri, Taylor and P.J. Weeks, Rylee and Jackson Moss, Katy Dru, Cole and Caroline Spinner, and her step grandchildren, Jasmine, M.J., London and Mack Morris, Mike and Jeanine Morris and Tim Morris.
The family would like to give special thanks to Tricia Spivey, of Heartland Hospice and to all the staff at the Waldrop Assisted Living Facility.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 2, 2011, from the Oak Hill cemetery with Rev. Mark Kelly officiating.
Pallbearers will be Michael Howren, Gary Howren, T.M. Morris, Dewayne Mathison, Mark Spinner, Chris Moss and Kevin Mathison.
