
Earl Leamon Ross, 78 of 84 Rudy York Road, Cartersville peacefully passed away surrounded by family and friends at his home on Saturday August 3rd. He was born September 17, 1935 and was well known and respected in the community. He owned Cartersville Cue Club, along with his wife Edna ‘Eddie’, whom he referred to as “Babydoll”. Together they later renamed and expanded the business to Earl’s Restaurant and Bus Station. Retiring in 1987, Earl went back to his passion of working as a ‘shadetree mechanic’.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Evie Ross and stepson Michael McBee. Survivors include Edna ‘Eddie’ Martin Ross, his wife of 40 years, sons Terry, Steve, Tracy and Tony Ross along with his daughters Kay Crissom, Lisa Johnson, Tracy Lee Camp and Wendy Davis, eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
The family received family and friends at Owen Funeral Home on Monday evening August 5th. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 6th in the Chapel at Owen Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Wayne Richmond and Ronnie Hudson officiating. Interment following at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cartersville. Pallbearers included Paul Cox, Terry Holland, Robert Davis, Greg Adcock, Myles Ross and Evan Buckler.
