Edna Bailey

Mrs. Bailey was born September 16, 1924 in Isle of Wight, Virginia, a daughter of the late John Eddie Bradshaw and Essie Lee Johnson Bradshaw.

Mrs. Bailey loved to cook homemade chocolate cakes and pies and vegetables. She liked to spend her spare time doing word puzzles and watching PGA golf on the television. Her favorite pro-golfers were Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicholas and Tiger Woods. She had a special love for her 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlas Supreme which she always kept in mint condition. Mrs. Bailey also was an animal lover and her favorite pet was a pug named Sandy.

Mrs. Bailey is preceded in death by her sisters, Ethel and Vernie Worrell, and Frances Byrd; her brothers, Aubrey, Jessie, Vincent and George Bradshaw.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ronald Conway of Cartersville, GA; grandsons, David Conway of Boulder, CO and Brian Conway of Cartersville, GA; a great-grandson, Joseph Conway of Cartersville, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Owen Funeral Home.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to The American Heart Fund.

Interment will be held, 2:00 PM Friday, April 12, 2013 from Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in Suffolk, VA.
