Elmer Lee Green

Mr. Green was born February 17, 1928 in Paulding County, the son of the late, Brasco Lee and Etta (Smallwood) Green, was retired from Gold Kist, was of the Baptist faith and attended Floyd Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Eleanor McBurnett, Gertrude Still, Thelma Roberts, Velma Mae Singleton and a brother Bev Mallette.

Surviving is his wife, Myrtice Green of Cartersville, children, Ronnie and his wife Brenda Green of Cartersville, daughter, Teresa and her husband Mike Teems of Rockmart, grandchildren, Bridget Green-Marr, Christopher Strange, Jason Strange and Ashley Teems, six great grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Fisher, Rev. Ronny Hudson and Rev. Tommy Harris.

Burial will follow in Floyd Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 5:00-9:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Jason Strange, Chris Strange, Travis Waits, Jeff Byrd, Ray Crider, Anthony Dupree, Jim Hodge and Lamar Cantrell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Grady Hames, J.D. Earwood, Roger Atkins and Jimmy Mc elvey.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
