Gene Howard Kennedy

Mr. Kennedy was born on June 27, 1941 in Chester, PA, son of the late Thomas H. Kennedy and Lillian Johnson Kennedy.

Mr. Kennedy proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a proud and active member of the Carl Boyd American Legion Post 42 in Cartersville, GA, where he served on the Honor Guard. He was a member of Northwest Christian Church in Acworth, GA. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who cherished spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid reader and crossword puzzler. In his younger years he enjoyed taking his children and grandchildren fishing.

Mr. Kennedy is survived by his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Linda Braddy Kennedy; sons, Todd (Jennifer) Wilson, Darrell (Monica) Wilson and Keith (Rhonda) Wilson; daughter, Karen (Eric) Baker; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brother, Ronald (Maryanne) Kennedy; beloved dog, Gibbs.

Graveside services will be conducted at nine o’clock in the morning on Thursday, the 27th of April, 2023 at The Georgia National Cemetery with Kristopher Dittrich officiating.
