Gloria Vicars Stanley

Mrs. Stanley was born February 19, 1924 in Wise, Virginia, daughter of the late Marshall W. Vicars and Thelma Dotson Vicars. She was preceded in death by her husband, Command Sergeant Major Elmer Clark Stanley; her parents, Marshall Walker Vicars and Emily Hager Vicars; a sister, Shirley Vicars Kugler; 2 brothers, Joseph Vicars and Marshall Walker Vicars, Jr.

Survivors include her children, Susan Alberg, King, NC, Sharon Carulli (Michael), Cartersville, GA, Stephen Stanley, Portsmouth, VA, Shirley Bassett Fogel (Barry); special grandson, Anthony Stanley, Virginia Beach, VA; also surviving are 6 additional grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; numerous other family members and loving friends.

No local services will be held. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA at a later date.
