

Born on July 12, 1932, in White, GA, she was the daughter of the late Criss Black and Camilla McEntire Black. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Marvin Epps; a son, Thomas Marvin Epps; her sisters, Bobbie Hollingshed, Johnnie Cline, and Muriel Hollingshed; and her brothers, Kay Black, and Charles Black.
She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where she was very involved. She was retired from Spring City after 34 years as a sewing machine operator and worked as Senior Hostess at Belk for over 10 years. She loved and cherished her family and loved her mission work at church and through Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Jerry Prewett; her three grandchildren, Candace (Jeffery) Bivens, Crystal (Jason) Glass, and Stephen Prewett; seven great-grandchildren, Arabella and Dalilah Worsham, Lia and Troy Glass, Hunter, Jojo, and Tristan Prewett; her two brothers, Wayne (Barbara) Black and Kent Black; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Battles. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Owen Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Alan Black, Kevin Black, Roger Black, Jimmy Cline, Glen Hollingshed and Robby Epps.
