Gussie Mae Lee

Mrs. Lee was born March 20, 1932 in Bartow County, the daughter of the late, Taylor and Maybelle (Adams) Evans, was retired from Nantucket and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Hilton Lee, a grandson, Eric Lee, four brothers and one sister.

Surviving are her children, Wanda and Verley Jones of Cartersville, Hubert and Hazel Lee of Cartersville, three granddaughters, Tammy Jones, Pam Dover and Brandi Ballard, eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Chaplain David Lewis and Rev. Michael Mathews officiating.

Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Harris, Terry Pruitt, Keith Day, Wayne Pruitt, Ricky Blasengame, Josh Dover, Justin Ashworth and Rueben Lowe.

The family received friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
