Harold E. Fowler

Mr. Harold E. Fowler, 77, of Cartersville, GA passed away peacefully on Wednesday July, 17, 2019 while surrounded by his loving family. Harold was born in Bartow County, Georgia on July 6, 1942 to the late Mr. R.G. Fowler and Mrs. Doris Roberson Fowler.

Harold was a loving husband and devoted father. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. After his retirement from First Brands, he made custom built fishing rods. He was a member of the Church of the Ascension, serving in the Vestry. He was very active with The Pumphouse Players, producing many shows and won several awards from the group. In his younger years, Harold enjoyed coaching youth baseball. He was a man who loved his family, Savior and community. He will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents, grand daughter, Ansley Fowler, brother, Ricky Fowler and sister, Diane Fowler.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Mrs. Lynn Moore Fowler, sons; Michael (Tracy) Fowler and Matt (Gail) Fowler, Boyd (Amanda) Fowler, grandchildren, Katie (Kurt) Hufstetler, Jessica Maybern, Jake (Crystal) Hill, and Jessica (Josh) Sewell. Six great grandchildren, brothers; Larry (Nikki) Fowler and Ronnie (Pam) Fowler, and two nieces and a nephew also survive to cherish Harold's memory.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at eleven o'clock in the morning at Cartersville's Church of the Ascension with the Revs. Mary Erickson, Louis Tonsmeire Sr. and Charles Moore officiating. A reception will be held after the service in the Parish House. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, Cartersville.

The family will receive friends on July 19, 2019 from five o'clock in the evening until eight at Owen Funeral Home.

Memorial donations to the Church of the Ascension may be made in lieu of flowers.
