Jackie Lee Nunley

Jackie worked as a fabricator after he was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1958. On October 19, 1958 he married Nancy Rose and they remained married for the next (years) until his passing.

Jackie enjoyed hunting, working on cars and spending time with his family. He was one of the oldest stewards at Northside Methodist Church. He held his relationship with the Lord very close to his heart. Jackie was a very dedicated and faithful servant of the Lord, even well into his years of aging.

Jackie was a humble and happy man who always saw beauty and goodness in everything. He would always say, it’s “simply wonderful.” Jackie also enjoyed being a father and a grandfather. He truly had an immeasurable amount of love to give. Jackie will be missed by all who knew him.

Along with his wife, Nancy Nunley, Jackie Lee Nunley is survived by his daughter, Sarah (Terry) Anderson; grandchildren, Christopher McDonald and April (Justin) Hazelwood; great grandchild, Ezra Hazelwood; close friends, Paul Rose, Robin Woods, Phyllis Fuqua, and Daniel Fuqua; companion cat, Pearl; and many loving extended family members and friends to cherish his memory.

A funeral service to honor Mr. Jackie Nunley will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 2:00pm, at Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Dr., Cartersville, Georgia 30120. The family will receive friends for visitation two hours prior to the service. He will be laid to rest in Sunset Memory Gardens, with United States Air Force honors to be rendered immediately following the service. Pastor Tim Whitehead will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Anderson, Daniel Fugua, Mark Knight, Patrick Knight, Tate Knight, and Greg Moore.
